Mitchie’s Jetty is a Merimbula icon. Any touristic photo or artist’s rendition of the town incorporates the pink roof of the jetty’s shed as a central feature.

The jetty and shed have been transformed during this period, from a two ramp jetty used for commercial fishing, to the current set-up with its colourful roof, seating and coffee bar.

Today Mitchie’s Jetty is an important daily feature in the lives of many people in the area - whether they come to the jetty for swimming, fishing, kayaking or just gathering for a chat over a coffee. Thousands of tourists and locals each year use the jetty and the surrounding beach to enjoy water sports on the lake.
